KATHMANDU, January 1 – Samsung Nepal has concluded its Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data training program and launched a new Coding and Programming course as part of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) initiative.
The AI and Big Data session, which ran from June 27 to December 31, 2025, provided students with technical training and practical experience. During a graduation ceremony at the Pulchowk Campus, certificates were awarded to students who completed the curriculum.
The SIC program, which began in Nepal in 2023, is designed to provide youth with technical skills in AI, Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Coding and Programming. The curriculum also integrates soft skills training intended to improve digital literacy, creativity, and employability.
To qualify for the program, learners must possess a foundation in algorithms, data structures, and programming.
A central component of the initiative is a practical project where students design solutions for real-world social challenges. The company said that by applying emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Coding & Programming, students gain meaningful hands-on experience—learning not just what these technologies are but how they can be used to create real impact.
"Equipping them with future-ready skills goes beyond education—it is an investment in the country’s long-term progress," said Mr. Chang Uk Jung, Managing Director of Samsung Nepal. "As we celebrate the achievements of our AI and Big Data graduates, we are equally focused on nurturing the next generation of learners who will strengthen Nepal’s digital capabilities through coding and problem-solving."
